Days with Darwin

Awhile back my neighbor told me she was having a really crummy day. On her way home from the grocery store she almost ran into a couple of cars who weren't driving very well. She decided it was just a bad day all together when she pulled into her driveway and looked over to our house and saw Darwin naked waving to her in our bay window. She said it put a smile on her face and made her day a lot better.

I was hanging from the monkey bars when Darwin said, "Mom, you too heavy." He must have been concerned that the monkey bars would break under such a load.

One morning I caught Darwin picking his nose and eating it. Immediatly I told him, "Ew Darwin, that's gross! Don't pick your nose and eat it!" He replied, "Dis not gross, dis dinner."

Right now Darwin is liking Penn a lot more. He introduces him by saying, "Dis my Penners."

Darwin's first trip to the ER

Yesterday was a bad day for ol' Darwin. It seems he was headed into trouble no matter what. He's been like a human hurricane the past few days throwing things and making messes where ever he goes. Maybe it's spring fever, I know I have it.

So he didn't take a nap at all.

After you guys left we all went to Culvers for dinner because Brent had a coupon, but on the way there, Darwin fell asleep so we just got drive-thru and ate at home. Then he got a stinky diaper and was heading to where I lay the mat down to change him, right by that big brown thing with four drawers. He was kind of running sideways and tripped and hit his eye on one of the handles. I was right by him but he fell just out of my reach. It made a pretty deep slice about three quarters of an inch above his left eye. Since that guy was coming from the stake, I said I would take him in. We left at 8:00 and came home at 11:30. I felt so bad for him because he was soooo tired and hated being held down when they numbed it and stitched it up. When we walked out of the room a lady said, "That little guy made all that noise?" He really did scream straight through the whole thing.
